Sayerlack End Grain Sealer For Exterior Wood - XA0469

XA469 is a single component brush applied acrylic sealer applicable directly onto the end grain of articles intended for exterior wood painting. It can be over-painted with water-based products. It features excellent water resistance and UV filtering ensuring maximum performance for the coating system used.

Best Results For A Top Water Based Exterior Paint Finish

End grain sealer must be used on any exterior cut timber sections. We recommend the following process.

x1 Coat of AML3519 Exterior Primer

x1/2 Coats of AZ97 Exterior paint topcoat

Cut ends use End Sealer or V-joint sealer.

XA469 can be pigmented according to the colour tone required using Sayerlack water-based pastes, using either the XA4034 range for transparent shades, or with the XA2006 range for opaque colours.

En Grain Sealer can be used on any cut joinery used for exterior purposes but is often used by professionals creating a paoint system of water based exterior paint for exterior windows,doors and conservatories. The high vertical build achievable with AZ97 also means other joinery applications such as cladding, and taller structures can be painted to a high finish. Will cope in the more harsh exterior environment while providing safety to operators being a water based exterior paint. Team the AZ97 with our suggested AML3519 primer to creta a top level finish. AZ97 can be tinted at order point to any exterior wood paint colours required. It's essential in the external joinery environment that when you cut timber to ensure you end seal and v-joint seal your timber to protect from water ingress or your outside wood paint will fail.
