OUR SHIPPING PROMISE
Place your order online before 2pm GMT (Monday - Friday) and we will dispatch your item same day. Orders placed after 2pm will be dispatched the next working day after.
On a select number of products, the lead time can be longer, this will be stated on products when added to cart, if you would like to confirm this, please contact our customer support team.
If you order a wood coating paint to a specific retail colour this may have to be colour matched and to get this accurate, lead times may be longer. Contact our team for an update.
You will get a dispatch confirmation email when your order leaves the warehouse.

Delivery is usually next day to all UK mainland. This only applies to all items marked `In Stock` on our website. If there is any delay you will be informed by email/telephone. If an item is not in stock in our main warehouse we will do all we can to get this to you as soon as possible. If the order is placed over the weekend or on a public holiday we will process and dispatch the order on the next working day.

Important information regarding Paint & Solvent Deliveries
All paint and solvent products above 5 Litre in size are packed on to pallets due to the legislation involved in transporting solvents. The delivery costs for a pallet are higher than parcel deliveries and this is shown at the checkout.
Restricted Access
Please contact us if your or delivery address has restricted access and may not accommodate a
HGV truck. Failure to advise us
of restricted access may result in a requirement for you to pay additional
carrier charges.
Missing / Damaged Items & Proof of Delivery
The Ultrimax goal is to always deliver on time and in full for every order. If however you find an item missing or damaged please contact Ultrimax within 48 hours from delivery. Notifications for Items damaged or missing after this time period will not be accepted.
Ultrimax can also provide you with a POD (Proof of Delivery) for your order if required, please contact us within 14 days from point of order to arrange this. Requests after this time period cannot be accepted and the customer will be liable for the delivery.

As an industrial metal paint, Ultrimax 1 is a high build acrylic-based primer and topcoat in one. It can be applied easily, saving you both time and effort. And because it dries quickly, it won’t be long before you’re admiring the glossy finish. This high build primer & topcoat can be used for a wide range of applications Including plant and machinery, gates and railings, structural steel coating, general steel fabrications, commercial vehicle refinishing, and architectural metalwork. Suitable for use on bare or previously painted surfaces.

Metal Primers
Are you unsure what a primer is? A metal paint primer is a coating that is applied directly to the raw surface or even on top of the previous coating. A primer will provide all the protection required upon the surface, offering optimal level of adhesion. This will ensure the paint will fasten on to the surface and stick there permanently. Having in place the exact primer and topcoat combination will provide the best level of durability, but it will also ensure a highly decorative finish once the system as well.
Ultrimax 1 is a direct-to-metal paint with anti-corrosive properties, this means there isn't a requirement to use a primer before applying Ultrimax 1 as it acts as both. A primer can be applied to aid with topcoat adhesion or to produce an increased glossy finish.

Do I need a separate primer before applying Ultrimax 1?
No. Ultrimax 1 is a direct-to-metal (DTM) high-build primer and topcoat in one. It contains zinc phosphate anti-corrosive properties, allowing zinc phosphate anti-corrosive properties, allowing you to apply it directly to bare, clean, prepared steel without applying a separate primer first.
What thinners should I use and in what ratio?

We recommend using Xylene Thinner. For standard spray applications, mix up to 10% to 15% thinners by volume. For brush or roller application, minimal to no thinning is required.

Ultrimax 1 can be applied using conventional air spray equipment. For airless spraying, we recommend using a 0.015" to 0.019" spray tip at a pressure of around 2000-2500 PSI for optimal atomisation and a smooth finish.

At 20*C ambient temperature, Ultrimax 1 is surface dry within 30 to 45 minutes and handleable within 2 to 3 hours. It can be recoated after 4 hours.
