Why opt for Water-Based Joinery Paint instead of Solvent-Based?

Higher Solids Content

Water-Based paints boast a greater concentration of solids, meaning you apply more pigment and less solvent with each coat. Unlike solvent-based products, which realease substantial amounts of solvent into the air, water-based formulations ensure more solids adhere to the surface for effective coverage.

Faster Application

Thanks to their higher solids content, water-based paints require fewer spray passes to acheive a smooth finish, resulting in quicker application. While they may have a marginally slower drying time, the reduction in the spray time conpensates for this, allowing a swift and efficient spraying process.

Reduced VOC Emmisions

Conventional solvent-based paints, particularly acid- or pre-catalysed varieties, often contain high levels of VOCs up to 500g/L. In contrast, water-based paints have significantly lower VOC levels, typically around 70g/L, making them a more eco-friendly choice for both users and the environment.
