Rob at RCH Engineering, Barnsley created a new bespoke steel fabrication for a karting customer. A keen cyclist himself Rob threw himself into a different sport and the challenge of car racing with this custom build. The idea was to fit two racing karts into van transport without compromising any further space for tools and accessories.
Rob needed a durable and robust industrial paint that would cope with the demands of karts being moved around and rolled onto a painted chassis and Ultrimax had just the product.

Ultrimax recommended that to compliment his robust fabricated design, Rob would need a durable 1 pack paint such as Ultrimax 1 to adequately coat and protect the bespoke framework. The framework combined welded and CNC machined kick plates with legs at each corner utilising triangle struts.
After setting to work in the RCH workshop ( see RCH's Instagram) Rob quickly fabricated the main section of build and was ready for paint. See below the process from early fabrication to industrial paint coating, before the finished product can be viewed.
