Jotun Penguard Express Metal Primer Paint - 2 Pack
Jotun Penguard Express Metal Primer Paint is a fast drying, high solids two-pack epoxy coating which may be applied in high film thickness and at lower temperatures.

Anti-Corrosive 2 Pack Primer
An anti corrosive primer and/or intermediate coating for corrosion protection of steel and other substrates in atmospheric exposure where fast dry-to-recoat and/or dry-to-handle times are desired. Can be used alone or in various systems of primers and topcoats.
Penguard Express Fast Drying
This is a two component amine cured epoxy coating. It is a fast drying, high solids, high build product. Specially designed for new construction where fast dry to handle and over coating times are required. Can be used as a metal primer paint, mid coat, finish coat or as single coat system in atmospheric environments.
Suitable for properly prepared carbon steel, aluminium, concrete and galvanised steel substrates. It can be applied at sub zero surface temperatures.
Approvals and certificates
Pre-qualification testing in accordance with NORSOK M-501, Rev. 5, System 1, suitable for exterior exposure in offshore environment, below 120 °C.
Tested in accordance with ISO 12944-5, C5-High environment

Epoxy Primer Application methods
The product can be applied by
Spray: Use airless spray.
Brush: Recommended for stripe coating and small areas. Care must be taken to achieve the
specified dry film thickness.
Thinners / Cleaning solvent to use with Metal Primer Paint
Thinner: Jotun Thinner No. 17 -
Undercoat Paint to TopCoat Product compatibility
Depending on the actual exposure of the coating system, various primers and topcoats can be used in combination with this product. Some examples are shown below. Contact Ultrimax for specific system recommendations.
Previous coat: inorganic zinc silicate shop primer, epoxy, epoxy mastic, zinc epoxy, zinc silicate, organic shop primer
Subsequent coat: acrylic, epoxy, polyurethane, polysiloxane
