Its unique formula is designed to not only provide a smooth surface that is ready for painting, but to also protect the metal underneath from rust when exposed to the elements outdoors. Unlike inferior primers on the market, it dries quickly and will be ready for another layer of primer or paint within just 24 hours.

Water Based Primer With Excellent Adhesion

Provided that your metal is completely free of grease and dirt, it will give you excellent adhesion, and to improve this further it is a good idea to smooth the surface by removing any areas of rust, dried paint and other debris - a dust mask should be worn if any of the dried paint that you are removing contains lead.

For the application itself, the liquid is suitable for both conventional and airless spraying, along with regular brushing and rolling. To get the best possible results when you apply the primer, it is recommended to make sure that the surface temperature is between 15 and 20 degrees Celsius.

In order to thin the primer, you will normally need to add a further 10% of the liquid's volume in water - this will depend upon the exact nature of the application.

The synthetic resin has been specially developed to create a hard, durable under coat, and for added convenience Aquimax Water Primer is available in black, grey, red and white. Aquimax Water Primer comes in a 5l tin, and for even better value for money why not pick up a 20l container? As a rule of thumb, for every 10 square meters of surface you will need around one litre of the primer, and a second coat before adding further paint will resist oxidation damage outdoors.

In situations where you need to get the job done as quickly as possible, this primer responds incredibly well to an ambient flow of air passed across the surface. Other inferior primers may react to these working conditions by cracking, but Aquimax remains in perfect condition.
