3M has launched its longest lasting and fastest reducer of fine swirls and scratches. This liquid abrasive for paint shops is called – The 3M Perfect-It Extra Fine compound.
The product requires up to 30 per cent less compound than other 3M offerings and reduces scratch removal time by up to a quarter.
It has been designed to give paint shops the ultimate high-gloss finish when used with the science-based technology company’s range of green foam pads as the first step in a three-stage finishing process.

For the ultimate gloss paint finish across any paint type follow the process below:
Stage 1 - Use the Green 3M Polish Compounding pad with the 3M Fast Cut Extreme PLUS Compound
Stage 2 - Use the Yellow High Gloss 3M Polish Compounding pad with the 3M Perfect-it Extra Fine PLUSCompound
Stage 3 - Use the Blue SE High Gloss 3M Polish Compounding pad with the 3M Perfect-it Ultrafina SE Compound
Tools: You can polish and apply by hand for for best results use an electric polisher.
Repeat any stage if necessary and polish pads and compounds can be used separately for a bespoke finish.
