Challenge Faced: Paint production couldn't keep up with main production line causing bottlenecks.

Solution: Assess, advise current facilities and techniques, build new water wash spray booth

Installation: New full paint shop length water wash spray booth split into 4 spray booths each coated in a peelable spray booth coating.

Performance: Paint production has the capability to double now in the four water wash sections. An additional wet spray booth was added to provide flexibility of paint type when required.

In this project we helped KNP a major finishing company in Leighton Buzzard.

Challenge

KNP were struggling to keep up with required spray painting production using their exisiting facilities. The paint facilities were outdated and Arsen at KNP needed a solution to bring the paintshop into the 21st century.

Solution

To solve the challenge Ultrimax surveyed the current paint production speed and processes. After an on-site survey by spray booth specialist Mike Booth, investigation drawings were created, 3D Cad renderings produced and finally a full water wash spray booth system proposed to allow round the clock volume spraying with a wet spray peripheral booth.

The water wash spray booth was segmented into 4 sections to allow multi spraying of different items and Gramos Propeel Booth Coating was used across all booths to ensure a clean working atmosphere. A wet spray booth at the end of production was added to provide flexibility of paint spraying.
