Buyer - Doncaster (On-site) - £40,000 - £50,000
We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our dynamic team at Ultrimax in Doncaster. In this role, you will be responsible for driving profitability by efficiently managing the procurement of materials. Your expertise will help ensure the timely sourcing of high-quality supplies, contributing directly to the success of our operations and supporting the continued growth of our business. If you have a keen eye for detail, strong negotiation skills, and a passion for optimising procurement processes, we want to hear from you!
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Raising Purchase Orders
- Stock Control and management
- Sourcing & Procurement of new products and approving new suppliers
- Negotiation with suppliers to improve costs in products and services
- Achieve profitability targets
- Improve stock turnover
- Set budgets and forecasts
- Run reports using Phocas Software
Person Specification:
- Attention to detail
- Humble, Hungry, Smart
- Work in a fast pace environment
- Ability to act decisively and use initiative
- Work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Good planning and organisational skills
- Good communication skills and ability to negotiate at every level
- Willing Team player but can also self-manage
- Positive attitude to work with a willingness to learn
- Experience with ERP Systems
- Hardworking and prepared to go the extra mile
Performance Objectives:
- Improve stock turnover
- Improve profitability meeting Gross Profit targets
- Effective management of the purchasing department
- Reduce costs of inventory
Reports to: Managing Director
Working Hours: Mon-Thurs 8am-5pm (Flexible) Fri – 8am-3pm
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
