The Benefits of a Paint Strainer or Paint Filter

You'd be surprised just how many particles of dirt and debris actually get into your paint supplies, but you'll see for yourself when you use one of these paint strainers for the first time! Paint strainer filtration is perfect when working with automotive paint, industrial spray paint and wood coatings.

These paint stainers which are comparable to Colad filters can be used in a singular way ie: filter through a 125 micron super fine mesh and then proceed to paint or for an ultimate system move through paint filter stages of 400 > 280 and finally 125 micron Super fine to ensure a staged filtration.

A paper paint strainer incorporates a lint-free design, with the filter mesh nestled on the inside to prevent any contamination occurring around cut edges of the mesh. The filter extends all the way to the tip of the strainer, so every last drop of paint is filtered effectively. This design also helps to prevent deformities during use, as the paper has a high resistance to solvents and water. They are made for use with high solid paints or primers, delivering superior straining in an easy-to-use, affordable package.

Cheap, Effective & Disposable Paint Strainer

Each paint strainer is disposable, so simply discard after use and grab a fresh one for your next filtration job.

Single meshed tip, eliminates unstrained paint passing through the tip. Made of durable materials that won’t break down while using waterborne paints.

The construction of these Colad paper paint strainer aims to produce consistent, uniform assembly so every strainer works just as well as the last. Filter media is precision-woven to strict specifications to ensure the perfect pore size for optimal filtration. Every aspect of the construction is processed using water- and solvent-resistant adhesives to ensure strainer integrity is maintained throughout the straining process.

What is The Difference?

So why doesn't everyone filter to the full system of Medium Filter > then Fine Filter and finally Super Fine 125 micron for the best paint finish? Well it mainly has to do with time. Using the filters is an easy process, set your paint moving through a filter and wait for it to clear the fine mesh filtration. However as you move to finer mesh filtration in the Fine and Superfine micron levels you will find the time to filter paint increases. Some users won't have time to filter via multiple filters when they have a back log of jobs, so it's understandable that many paper filter users choose one type and stick with it.
